Join us this Sunday, January 28th, from 12-1 for this intergenerational event (6 years old and up).

Winchester Unitarian Society has invited the Volunteer Ventures MA organizer, Barry Glass, to lead our youth and adults in creating SOUP JAR kits to donate to the Food Pantries at the Woburn Council for Social Concern and the ENKA Society in Winchester. We’ll be filling Mason jars with all the dry ingredients to make tasty and nutritious soups by simply adding the ingredients to boiling water. VVMA’s Soup Jar initiative gives us the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and help people experiencing food insecurity to weather the winter months.

VVMA’s goal is to make 1,000 Soup Jars this winter and we can help them meet their goal!

Volunteer Ventures MA is a Boston-based non-profit organization dedicated to creating a more just, compassionate, and equitable society through promotion of volunteerism and community service programming. And it is one of the Winchester Unitarian Society’s financial grant recipients from 2023. Check out its website at volunteerventuresma.org.
