While the Holy Land is bursting with news of human rights tragedies, the mere discussion of them has often been avoided, banned, considered too fraught to mention, and outright censored. Yet, we Americans among the Abrahamic faiths must grapple with what we’ve contributed to the mess, and how we’re complicit, and bear witness to our braver allies in peace, the specific Israelis and Palestinians who manage together to walk toward peace, even while others of their identity keep harming one another with our American weapons funding. How else to reduce all this tragic harm, before it escalates further?
