Safe Communities legislation was added to the State Senate’s FY2019 budget bill. Both Winchester Senators voted for it. Four key protections: 1) No police inquiry about immigration status, 2) Stop collaboration agreements with ICE, 3) Provide basic due process protections and 4) Refuse to contribute to any discriminatory registry. Become a court watcher through the Mass Bail Fund

Become a court watcher through the Mass Bail Fund. Participate in a training, and commit to three mornings in three months in Suffolk, Essex, Worcester, Plymouth, or Hampden County. A training will be held at First Parish Arlington on Monday, June 11, 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.  Register for the training here.
