Knowledge is a valuable and important thing, particularly so in Western culture. We have perhaps come to overvalue the certainty of knowing though, valuing that certainty, and the sense of control it can sometimes offer. This Sunday we will explore the gifts of not-knowing, and the idea of perhaps leaning into “not-knowing” as a skill and spiritual practice to enhance the balance and fullness of our lives.
We will also be holding a costume parade at the beginning of the service for anyone who would like to share their Halloween costumes – kids, youth, and adults. Please feel free to come in costume this Sunday and share in the joy of the season!
